Datwyler patch cords connect end devices to the structured cabling system at office desks, server rooms, and patch panels. The portfolio centers on the Cat 6A Snagless Shielded family in S/FTP construction for noise resistant 10GBASE T installations, alongside Cat 6 UTP options for legacy 1 Gigabit environments.
Construction Details
All patch cords use bonded copper conductors and LSZH jackets that meet the Eca and B2ca CPR Euroclass requirements for European installations. Strain relief boots provide snagless behavior in dense patch fields, preventing accidental disconnects when reaching across cable runs.
Use Cases
Cat 6A S/FTP is the right choice for new wiring projects targeting 10G performance over distances up to 100 meters, including PoE applications up to 90 W under the 802.3bt Type 4 standard.
Cat 6 UTP works for retrofit projects on existing infrastructure where the active equipment limits performance to 1G, or for cost optimized office deployments where 10G is not on the roadmap.
Lengths and Colors
Patch cords are stocked locally in standard lengths from 0.5 m to 20 m and a wide range of jacket colors for visual identification of services across the patch frame. Bulk pricing and custom lengths available on request.
