The Cisco SFP-10G-LR transceiver supports 10GBASE-LR data rates over a standard pair of single mode fiber (SMF) using duplex LC connectors, with a reach of up to 10 km. The module complies with IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-LR, SFF 8431 and SFF 8472 standards, and provides digital diagnostics via the I²C interface in accordance with SFP+ MSA, enabling real time monitoring of key operating parameters.

Thanks to the hot swappable design and reliable performance, this transceiver is easy to install and suitable for a wide range of applications, including 10G telecom links, data centers, high performance computing networks, enterprise core and distribution networks, and campus networks.
