Datwyler installation cable range
The range covers copper bulk cables for permanent indoor network cabling in offices, technical rooms and data centres. The models listed here have 23 AWG solid copper conductors and FRNC/LSZH jackets.
CU 692 Cat6A U/UTP
CU 692 is the unshielded option for Cat6A installations. It supports applications up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet and is offered here as a 4P cable on a 500 metre reel.
CU 6552 Cat6A F/FTP
CU 6552 combines individually foil screened pairs with an overall foil screen. This Cat6A cable is specified for 500 MHz and applications up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet. The 4P version is offered on a 1000 metre reel.
CU 7080 Cat7 S/FTP
CU 7080 combines individually foil screened pairs with an overall copper braid. Specified for frequencies up to 1000 MHz and applications up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet, it is offered as 4P on a 1000 metre reel and 2x4P on a 500 metre reel.
Choosing the right cable construction
Choose U/UTP for an unshielded cabling design. For a screened design, compare CU 6552 F/FTP and CU 7080 S/FTP against the specified cable category and screening requirements. Select cables and termination components as part of the same cabling design.
4P contains four twisted pairs. The 2x4P version combines two four-pair cables in a duplex construction. Choose the format according to the number of connections and available installation space.
For termination, select compatible Datwyler patch panels and modules that match the installation cable. Use copper patch cables for the connections between patch panels, outlets and network equipment.
