About Datwyler DCS MTP and MPO Cables
Datwyler DCS (Data Center System) MTP and MPO cables consolidate multiple fibers into single high density ferrules for 40G, 100G, and 400G data center fabrics. The range covers patch cords, fanout cables, and trunk assemblies in both OM4 multimode and G.652.D BLO singlemode fiber types.
Product Types
MTP to MTP patch cords: direct rack to rack links with no breakout, used between fiber distribution panels in leaf and spine fabrics.
MTP to LC duplex fanouts: breakout to legacy 10G server connections from a single MTP trunk. Available in 4 and 6 LC duplex configurations.
MTP to LC Quad fanouts: for parallel optic transceivers where four duplex links share one trunk cable.
Polarity and Connector Gender
Datwyler labels each assembly with polarity type (A, B, or C) and connector gender (pinned or unpinned). For most data center deployments, choose Type A unpinned to unpinned cables paired with a Type B pinned adapter in the patch panel. Mixing polarity types in a single channel is the leading cause of optical link failures at commissioning.
Delivery and Support
All MTP and MPO assemblies are factory tested for insertion loss and shipped with test reports available on request. Custom lengths and special configurations on request, with quote response within four business hours.
